That is why Dr. Paul offers IV and chelation therapy, in addition to being credentialed to evaluate patients for their Florida Medical Marijuana card. They have both seen first hand, the positive benefits that paitents receive when using medical cannabis under the guidance of a qualified physician, while reducing their reliance on other medicantions that may carry risks and side-effects. In fact, the feedback from a majority of medical cannabis patients is that they have hope and a new outlook on life as they gain control of their symptoms like chronic pain, insomnia and anxiety through using various form factors and “ratios” of THC to CBD. And this is why PurWell asked Dr. Paul and Josh to dedicate an afternoon one day per week at PurWell’s headquarters in Boynton Beach, to help educate patients and forward the narrative of using cannabis as a legitimate medicine to address a wide range of symptoms. It goes hand in hand with PurWell’s mission – to validate hemp and cannabis on a medical level.  In order to qualify for medical marijuana in the state of Florida, one of the following conditions must be met:

Qualifying Medical Conditions:

  • Cancer
  • Epilepsy
  • Glaucoma
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
  • Crohn’s disease
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Multiple sclerosis (MS)
  • Medical conditions of the same kind or class as or comparable to the others listed.
  • A terminal condition diagnosed by a physician other than the qualified physician issuing the physician certification.
  • Chronic nonmalignant pain caused by a qualifying medical condition or that originates from a qualifying medical condition and persists beyond the usual course of that qualifying medical condition.

If you don’t have a condition on the list, it does not mean that you don’t, or you can’t qualify for a medical marijuana card in Florida. For example, Crohn’s disease is a qualifying condition; however, people who suffer from colitis or diverticulitis may also qualify because they may take similar medications or have similar symptoms as those who have Cronh’s, so they would qualify under a “Medical conditions of the same kind or class as or comparable to the others listed.” Another example is chronic or acute anxiety. People who suffer from those conditions may take similar medications or present similar symptoms as people who suffer from PTSD, which is a qualifying condition, so people with chronic or acute anxiety may qualify under the same “Medical conditions of the same kind or class as or comparable to the others listed.”
